Tourism know-how for Sri Lanka and Nepal

The project provides for know-how transfer of expertise from Austria and Nepal in the following fields:

• Service standards, product quality, etc. for tourism-related SMEs
• Training and continuing education (development of training programs, train the trainer, development of training material, etc.)
• Internet marketing (online marketing for SMEs, platforms, search engine management etc.)

The research activity is particularly focused on: the definition of minimal requirements for products and service quality of accomodation enterprises; development and implementation of a training institution for tourism-related SMEs; development of quality management systems for enterprises as well as for training programs; particular measures toward enhanced awareness, know-how transfer.

Die Forschungsleistung betrifft diesbezüglich insbesondere:
- Die Definition von Mindestanforderungen an Produkt- und Servicequalität
- Entwicklung und Implementierung einer Schulungsinstitution für touristische KMUs
- Entwicklung von Qualitätsmanagementsystemen sowohl für Betriebe als auch für Trainings
- spezielle Maßnahmen zur Bewusstseinsbildung sowie
- Knowhow-Transfer
